Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care is an effective solution for a variety of health problems. It uses a drug-free, natural healing approach to overall body function, with a focus on the spinal column, nervous system, muscles, tendons, discs, and joints. Our chiropractors can perform a thorough examination and provide safe, gentle, effective care for overall correction of many health conditions and restore and maintain health.

Have you ever jammed your finger and felt like pulling on it to make it stop hurting? Sometimes the same thing can happen in your spine. Chiropractic care helps to improve the motion within jammed or fixated spinal joints. Also, similar to getting the alignment fixed in your car, chiropractic care helps to improve the alignment within your spinal column.

If you suffer from back or neck pain, headaches, or other health conditions that interfere with your daily life, our chiropractic services may be the answer for you. Contact us for more information.

The purpose of chiropractic care is to optimize health.

Chiropractic Care St. Augustine Florida

Many individuals incorrectly assume that chiropractors treat only back and neck ailments, because chiropractic treatments are primarily applied to the spinal region.

While we do quickly and effectively treat back pain and neck pain, it’s not the only goal. In fact, are you aware we also treat extremities such as hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, feet, ankles, knees and hips?

By looking into the relationship between the spine and the nervous system, you will find the same chiropractic treatment that treats back pain can also optimize your health.

As you may already know, the nervous system is the master controller of all living cells, tissues, glands and organs; orchestrating and coordinating all cellular functions. The spinal column encases the nervous system (spinal cord and nerve roots) and is responsible for its protection.

Because of this intimate relationship, biomechanical and structural problems in the spinal column can irritate parts of the enclosed nervous system. This irritation can result from noxious inflammatory biochemicals released during tissue injury or may result from direct mechanical pressure.

In either case, the functioning of the nervous system is negatively influenced as is the functioning of the cells, tissues and organs which are supplied by the affected nerve(s).

The resulting ailment(s) depends on the cells, tissues and organs affected as well as the extent of the nervous system compromise.

In other words, because the body’s innate recuperative powers are affected by and integrated through the nervous system, correcting spinal abnormalities which irritate the nervous system can lead to a number of favorable results in patients suffering from various, seemingly non-spinal health conditions.

"My back pain is gone!"

Back Pain Patient St. Augustine

I was in the worst pain prior to going to Dr. Albrecht. I had an operation twenty years ago on my lower back.

My lower back was hurting again and I was told that I needed an operation once again. Other doctors didn’t help.

I read about the Spine Center and Dr. Albrecht explained the decompression procedure. I started my treatment and am very pleased.

The pain has gone away and I believe the decompression worked. I have been doing exercises at home and follow up as recommended.
