Chiropractic care is a conservative, drug-free approach focused on the spine, nervous system, muscles, tendons, discs, and joints. At St. Augustine Spine Center, our chiropractors perform a thorough evaluation and create a personalized care plan designed to help improve movement, reduce pain, and support better function.
Chiropractic care may be used for patients with back pain, neck pain, headaches, joint pain, stiffness, posture problems, mobility limitations, and other musculoskeletal complaints that interfere with daily activity.
Many patients develop areas of restricted motion in the spine or joints. Chiropractic care helps improve movement within restricted or fixated joints and may help reduce stress on surrounding muscles, nerves, and soft tissues.
Similar to improving alignment in a vehicle, chiropractic care is focused on helping the body move more efficiently. When spinal and joint mechanics improve, many patients experience better mobility, less stiffness, and improved comfort with daily activity.
Many people assume chiropractors only treat back and neck pain because chiropractic treatments are commonly applied to the spinal region. While chiropractic care is often used for back pain and neck pain, it may also help improve motion and function in other areas of the body.
At St. Augustine Spine Center, chiropractic care may also address extremities such as the hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, feet, ankles, knees, and hips when appropriate.
By looking at the relationship between the spine, joints, muscles, and nervous system, chiropractic care can support overall body mechanics. The nervous system is closely connected to body function, and the spinal column helps protect the spinal cord and nerve roots.
When structural or biomechanical problems irritate the nervous system, the body may respond with pain, muscle tightness, reduced mobility, or altered function. Conservative chiropractic care focuses on improving movement and reducing mechanical stress so the body can function more efficiently.

"My back pain is gone!"
I was in the worst pain prior to going to Dr. Albrecht. I had an operation twenty years ago on my lower back.
My lower back was hurting again and I was told that I needed an operation once again. Other doctors didn’t help.
I read about the Spine Center and Dr. Albrecht explained the decompression procedure. I started my treatment and am very pleased.
The pain has gone away and I believe the decompression worked. I have been doing exercises at home and follow up as recommended.
